Implants in the Aesthetic Zone & Full Arches: Aesthetic Challenges & Solutions.
(Dr. Oliver Pin- Harry)
This lecture will engage participants to focus on managing and optimizing implant aesthetics. With a goal to achieve excellent outcomes that meet both functional and aesthetic expectations of your implant patients, clinicians will have an overview of current, evidence- based, state-of-the-art aesthetic reconstructive solutions in implant therapy and prosthodontics. Innovative modalities ranging from single tooth replacement to complex implant-supported rehabilitations will be elaborated. Particular attention will be given to diagnosis, treatment planning using objective aesthetic criteria and case management including immediate and delayed implant placement. The role of provisional restorations to enhance soft tissue architecture will also be discussed.
Rehabilitation of the Lower jaw using Dental Implants. (Dr. Day Gates)
The lower conventional denture has a history of high dissatisfaction and deleterious effects upon our patients’ quality of life. We will review an alternative: the mandibular implant retained over-denture, one of the most frequently studied treatments in implant dentistry. This treatment modality has been shown to be safe and predictable in numerous long-term clinical trials. Building upon this treatment modality, we will discuss how this treatment can be a stepping-stone to fixed rehabilitation of the lower jaw. We will also review patient expectations and how those expectations can guide our treatment recommendations, ultimately leading to successful outcomes and improved patient quality-of-life.

Shade matching , Cements and Adhesives for Ceramic Restorations.
(Dr. Oliver Pin-Harry)
Shade matching is an art and science. It remains an elusive quest in high-end restorative dentistry where the choice of ceramics and their properties are critical to achieve long- term function and aesthetics. The choice of cements and adhesives directly affects the effectiveness of margin seal and stability of the tooth-ceramic interface. This lecture will provide a scientific rationale for the choice of cement and a practical strategy to shade match effectively as well as discuss various clinical situations.

Young Patients, Tooth Agenesis & Implants: Multi- Specialty Planning.
(Dr. Oliver Pin-Harry)
Tooth agenesis is the most common congenital dental anomaly, often presenting as a complex clinical problem especially when multiple teeth are involved. Early diagnosis and integration of a long-term strategic treatment plan that most often involves multi-specialties is essential for clinical success. Evidence indicates that patients affected by tooth agenesis often present with functional, social and behavioral implications. Using several cases reports ranging from simple to complex clinical scenarios, this lecture will elaborate diagnosis, treatment planning and integration of multi-disciplinary strategies using a patient-centered approach to optimize the outcome of years of observational and active treatment phases.
